Define “Broadcast Journalism” in 1-3 sentences.

To air information instaneously through Internet, radio, or TV. Recording the information and sharing it with other and the world or nation.
List and describe the six criteria of newsworthiness.

1. Unusualness: News is the different, the unusual, the out of the ordinary
  •         why is the news always bad? unusual is more often found in bad news
  •         ex: church roof collapse
2. Significance: Important events that effect important people, are news
          EX:
  • Taxes
  • Elections
  • Wars
  • Scientific discovery
3. Timeline: Old news isn't news: its history
           EX:
  • valentines day  
  • talking about something that's not coming up
4. Proximity: people want to know about nearby events:
            EX:
  • people want to know about nearby events
5. Prominence: when well -known people, buildings, or places are involved, that is news
            Ex:
  • if your arrested for shoplifting
  • if zac Efron is arrested, that's news
 
6.Human interest: stories ordinary people or animals, humorous or dramatic
            Ex:
  • heartwarming or heart- wrenching stories
  • on news because of human interest
